Ph.D./M.S.(R) position(s) available in Transportation Engineering

I am looking for highly motivated Ph.D. or M.S.(R) students to join my research group. Please consider applying if you are interested in working on transit network modeling problems (a brief description of some of the problems I'm working on is given here ). Students with the following qualifications will be preferred.

Desired Qualifications

Prospective student should hold bachelor's/master's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or allied areas.
Strong aptitude in mathematical modeling or WILLINGNESS to study courses on Transportation network analysis, Integer Programming, Non-linear programming, Reinforcement learning, and Stochastic processes and use them for research.
Undergraduate-level linear algebra, linear programming, and probability theory (If you are not comfortable with these, please don't consider this position!)
At least one year experience of programming in C/C++, Python, Java, or R
Prior experience in technical writing

Students with the following qualifications will be preferred.

Desired Qualifications

Having at least one year experience of programming in C/C++, Python, Java, or R. Any web/cellphone application development experience is desired.
Studied or studying courses related to transportation (not just CVL261).
Willing to commit at least 15 hours per week.
Planning to study transportation for master's and Ph.D.
